3rd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment - Welcome Address

The 3rd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment is a "Military Realism Unit." This means we use a rank system and structure which is close to how a real Army unit operates, we use tactics and strategies that are used by Army units, and we operate like a real Army unit would. However, we don't allow the soldiers' "ranks" to go to their head. Instead, we use our structure to provide a well-run and organized unit. We play the game, but our leaders also run training, operations, courses, and various schools. Some of our soldiers are former or current military, but many aren't as well. Our soldiers are all a minimum age of 16. To be a ranger in this unit, you must be at least 16 years of age to qualify as an enlisted soldier and 18 to qualify as an officer (Must complete the Officer Leaders Course).
While our soldiers do play various games, our foundation is based in ARMAII, utilizing custom missions and addons. As a Military Realism unit we do hold drills and operations as well as regular public realism scenarios.
If you think you have what it takes to become a ranger in the 3rd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, please visit our forums and read the information that pertains to enlistment in the "Enlistment Information" forum. The information contained there will allow you to evaluate whether you wish to be apart of this fine unit or if you would just like to continue playing with us as a civilian. KABUL, Afghanistan - In an ongoing effort to rid the local populace of a constant threat of retaliation for cooperating with coalition forces, Task Force Ripper set out on intelligence provided by informants to locate and destroy weapon contraband and ammo stash houses in the surrounding suburbs of the city today. The early morning raid initially led by NATO forces came under heavy attacks when entering the city before the NATO initialed withdraw because of the force depletion reports which followed.
Forces from the 3rd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment led by Sergeant A. Holmes and the 3rd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division led by Chief Warrant Officer 2 J. Kale secured their forces after the request from NATO and moved the TF throughout the city sweeping from house to house uncovering and controlled denoting all ordnance found within the area of operations. Several soldiers in the field distinguished themselves with their medical and CLS skills which were vital assets to the task force as a whole.
The first phase of the operation culminated with an a successful raid on the compound of a suspected gun warlord resulting in the capture of the largest weapons cache in the area and the death of the warlord. After talking to the ground commanders, who called the raids a success, forces report that more raids into the city and surrounding area are expected to pick up going into the month of FEB.

| 3rd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment Conducts CLS Course |

|

FORT BENNING, Georgia - As rounds fly overhead and mortars slam into the ground, a Ranger defending his position turns to see his battle buddy has been seriously injured. The Ranger screams in a panic into the night "MEDIC! MEDIC!"
Rangers from the 75th Ranger Regiment, 3rd Ranger Battalion in FORT BENNING, Georgia, attended a combat life savers course JAN. 20-22 here to help Rangers and Recruits learn combat life saving techniques. Rangers from the 1st Platoon, Delta Company taught the CLS course.
As portrayed in the scenario above, 90 percent of combat deaths occur on the battlefield before the casualties can be reached for medical treatment by a combat medic. This fact is stressed to the soldiers in the CLS course. Many conditions - such as bleeding from an extremity, collapsed lung and airway problems - can be treated on the battlefield.
"I really enjoy teaching the class," said Specialist Jay Henry, a CLS instructor with the 3rd Ranger Battalion serving as the Personnel and Administration Adjutant.
During the three-day public server training exercise, rangers and recruits - ranging from privates to sergeants - learned how to place a tourniquet on an amputee, stop the bleeding from a severe wound and place a nasopharyngeal airway tube in a patient who has stopped breathing, along with other techniques to save a life in an emergency or in a combat situation.
All students who were present and partook in the course the course earned a CLS certificate to be displayed in their service jacket (MILPACS). These trainings, though impromptu are held at the request of those wishing to be certified and be instructed by anyone who has completed it.
As rounds fly overhead and mortars slam into the ground, a Ranger defending his position turns to see his battle buddy has been injured. The CLS-certified Soldier can now calmly dresses the wounds and assures his fellow Soldier that help is on the way.
